But visits to Christmas markets aren’t always cheap. In fact, the across the UK can cost up to £7.75 alone, according to research by The Sun.
Along with funfair rides, food, and gifts, visitors can often spend a huge amount of money during festive celebrations.
Fortunately, there’s one Christmas market in Glasglow that could end up saving you a couple of pounds.
Glasglow’s winterfest serves the UK’s cheapest pints
Glasgow’s Winterfest kicked off on November 9, with events taking place in the city’s George Square and St Enoch’s Square. The event welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors every year.
In 2019, the city council reported that it welcomed a staggering 650,000 visitors, making it one of the country’s largest and busiest markets.
Which, is no surprise, since at both the Winterfest markets, visitors can expect to find the UK’s cheapest pint of beer, with a pint costing from as little as £5 right up to £7.50.
In Scotland’s capital, prices are slightly higher and much closer to the UK Christmas market’s average price. According to Edinburgh Live, a pint of Innis and Gun larger at would make you fork out £7.
