‘Hidden gem’ with mountain views is a perfect walking destination for 2025

Leading adventure tour operator  has revealed their top trending destinations for 2025.

Against a backdrop of over-tourism,  are opting for less-crowded, more alternatives to established tourism hotspots. 

The list includes 10 lesser-known tourist destinations which the travel experts believe will see a surge in popularity in 2025.

Some of the destinations include Kyrgyzstan and Armenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina and Nepal. 

From mountain views to a west African jewel, these are the top trending destinations to look out for in 2025. 

Kyrgyzstan

Often overshadowed by its more well-trodden neighbours on the Silk Road, experts have predicted that Kyrgyzstan will be Central Asia’s top hidden gem for 2025. 

Kyrgyzstan is the perfect destination for the adventurous traveller with its breathtaking mountain scenery making it perfect for exploring and is a great walking location.  

Wild Frontiers has experienced a 55 percent increase in Kyrgyzstan bookings compared to this time last year. Meanwhile, worldwide Google searches for ‘holidays to Kyrgyzstan’ have increased by 21 percent in the last quarter. 

Bosnia and Herzegovina

A less crowded alternative to Dubrovnik in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina is being heralded as the rising star of The Balkans for 2025. 

In 2023, the nation welcomed 1.7 million tourists with visa-free travel, marking a 17.3 percent increase from the previous year, with significant contributions to the local economy. 

Wild Frontiers has seen a 70 percent increase in bookings since last year for The Balkans.

Armenia
