Preparing the carrots is the main component for success with this dish, and it’s very straightforward. Preheat your air fryer to 180C, peel the carrots, and halve them lengthways. Place the carrots in the air fryer to cook for 10 minutes to help them soften.

Then melt a generous amount of butter in a microwave-safe bowl along with an equal portion of runny honey until it becomes liquid.

Next, add plenty of salt and pepper to your butter and honey mixture along with any dried herbs you want to use.

The sensation declared, “Forget your little soggy carrots. We’ve got delicious, soft, crispy, sweet, sticky, delicious, caramelised carrots. And they look like something out of a goody-Gastro pub… look at them.”

As for how to serve these delectable carrots, they are perfect with a roast dinner. Any leftovers you may have can be chopped up and added to hearty casseroles, stews and pies.
