Samsung is giving shoppers some top tips this Black Friday
is advising shoppers how they can avoid ‘buyers regret’ on their sales purchases. With the annual sales event finally here, countless bargain hunters are snapping up big discounts on a shiny new smart TV.
But amid the Black Friday madness, some of us may be too quick to seize what seems like a good deal without shopping around for better options. Samsung is just one of the countless brands which slashed their prices for Black Friday, with retailers like , and each offering consumers a raft of deals on a new TV.
Among the biggest sellers we’ve seen are this , which is reduced on Amazon to £229, down from £349. There’s also big savings on this , which is down to £459 at Amazon, reduced from £699.

For shoppers on the lookout for the best TV deals this Black Friday, has now offered some words of wisdom to help avoid so-called ‘buyer’s regret’. Jeremy Demont, Director of Product Management TV/AV, at Samsung UK, said: “The main ‘buyer’s regret’ we see is wishing they’d gone for the larger screen option.
“Visualising dimensions when online shopping can be tricky, so many customers underestimate the space they have and regret not increasing screen size to gain the full immersive experience. We encourage customers to consider going one size bigger than they might initially think, as the viewing experience can be significantly enhanced.
“We offer an Augmented Reality feature to help customers visualise different TV sizes and a to helping customers decide if it will work in their own space and make a more confident decision.”

Samsung offers a in various sizes with select models spanning more than 80 inches. Some of its larger offerings are currently available with , including this whopping , which has already seen a £500 price drop to £3,999.
But for shoppers looking for a smaller model, Samsung offers the same TV sized at , alongside up to £200 off select soundbars and £30 cashback. There’s also £300 off Samsung’s at £999, which comes with up to £300 off select TV and soundbar bundles.
But while these may seem like cracking deals, Jeremy also recommends shopping around before checking out, as the device in your basket may be cheaper elsewhere. He said: “Another common mistake is jumping for the cheapest deal without comparison.
“Do your homework on what TV models, sizes, specs and quality you’re looking for, so that you can make an informed choice and find a TV that best suits your needs and help you recognise what is true value. The last thing you want is to have to replace it with two to three years when you are investing in a product that you want to stand the test of time.”

Take for instance , available from Samsung for £999. While on the surface this may seem like an enticing deal, shoppers can pick up the same device at a lower price from , where it’s on offer for £883.
“Perks and added extras are also a focus when buying,” Jeremy added. “With examples including bundled soundbars, free delivery, trade-in deals to recycle your old TV or interest-free options.”
Some of Samsung’s deals – while often more expensive than buying from Amazon – also include big discounts on soundbar bundles, which is something to consider when choosing which retailer to buy from. is another retailer offering huge savings for Black Friday, with prices slashed on big name brands like LG and Sony.
