A mum has been wowed after discoverting a “secret” menu tip when ordering for her kids.

There is nothing like tucking into a McDonald’s when you are , and sometimes parents who have had a hectic week might pick up a Happy Meal for their kids for ease, or as a special treat for them. Mum-of-two Charli recently went viral after realising that you can actually order a breakfast Happy Meal.

The foodie said she was “today year’s old” when she realised the trick. She said that “no one believes her” when she says it is real.

In a video clip shared on recently via her page , she said: “I’m at the drive-thru, I’ve seen a girl post yesterday that she got her daughter a happy meal breakfast for her kid. So I’m gonna see if it’s legit.”

She added: “I’ve never asked for one, I never even knew it was a thing. But she put the receipt on, so yeah, I’m gonna ask. Let’s see if they do it.”

Charli can be heard asking a McDonald’s staff member for an egg McMuffin along with a hashrbown and a Fruit shoot in a Happy Meal box. It cost her £3.79 “Guys, it turns out you can get a Happy Meal for breakfast,” she said. “That is so good if you’ve got kids,” she added.

Many people were wowed, as one said: “My mind is blown!” “Omg I’m going to do this for me as I don’t really care about a big drink,” said another.

One other commented: “This is amazing! Guess where I’m taking the kids tomorrow.” “I didn’t know,” said another.

A McDonald’s worker said: “I work at McDonald’s and I would put it in a Happy Meal box for a child, no problem. She could have bought a toy for 99p and gladly do it for the kids for sure.”

However, after Charli’s video raked in over 62,000 likes, a number of people who have rushed to try it for themselves have found it is only available at certain branches.

One individual said: “I tried this, this morning at Wigston – did not work.” “I asked yesterday, she said ‘nope never heard of it’,” said another.

Another commented: “I asked at mine and they don’t do it, wish they did.” One other did not seemed impressed and said: “So, you’re paying for a full size breakfast and get it in a box?”
