Lesser-known royal reveals unknown fact about Princess Kate’s Christmas Carol Service

is preparing to next week, with 1,600 people expected to flock to Westminster Abbey for the festive occasion.

As well as inviting members of the community who have done good deeds this year, the Princess of Wales, 42, will also invite some of her nearest and dearest family members to the concert, which will consist of carols, readings and music.

This is set to include the King’s second cousin Lord Frederick Windsor, 45, and his wife Lady Frederick Windsor, 44.

While attending the Fayre of St James’s Christmas charity event on Tuesday, Lady Frederick Windsor revealed that the couple will attend the concert and commented that there will also be a family gathering after the event.

When asked what she was looking forward to, she said: “Beautiful music and beautiful readings. And Hors d’Oeuvres.”

As well as the couple attending, Princess Kate – who in September – is also expected to have her husband by her side at the event, along with her three children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six.

It is not yet known what other royals will be in attendance.

News that the princess will host the event was announced earlier this month, with the Palace confirming that the theme will be about the need to support each other during hard times.

They said: “This year’s service provides a moment to reflect upon the importance of love and empathy, and how much we need each other, especially in the most difficult times of our lives. The service will shine a light on individuals from all over the UK who have shown love, kindness and empathy towards others in their communities.”
