I’m A Celebrity’s Coleen Rooney playfully teased her husband Wayne back home, as she made a rare confession about his new role since the former England striker made the move into management.
The ex- star won a dozen trophies as a player before retiring. His journey into management has been more challenging.
He embarked on his managerial career in 2020 with Derby County and has had stints at D. C.United and Birmingham City.
In his most recent role, he took over at Plymouth Argyle earlier this year, a team currently just two points above the Championship relegation zone.
Wayne’s current squad have struggled for form throughout the season and have suffered some heavy losses, including a 4-0 defeat to Sheffield Wednesday, a 5-0 loss at Cardiff City, and most recently a 6-1 defeat to Norwich.

The manager even commented that the club’s youth side wouldn’t have let in so many goals.
During Wednesday’s episode of , (November 27), McFly’s Danny Jones seized the chance to question Coleen about her husband and his current role, reports .
He asked: “Is he loving managing?”.
Coleen confessed that he does, although they both find it more difficult than when he was a player.
Coleen opened up to Danny
She said: “Yeah, he does enjoy it, it’s hard though. I find it more nerve wracking him being a manager than I did… I feel more pressure.”
Ex-boxing pro Barry McGuigan recalled that Wayne Rooney burst onto the scene at the tender age of 16 while playing for Everton, remarking: “Well, he was very mature very quickly wasn’t he, he grew up very quickly?”.
Yet Coleen Rooney, with a touch of mischief regarding her hubby, retorted: “Well, I don’t know about that!”
Her playful comment sparked a hearty chuckle throughout the camp.
Audiences are now left pondering how Coleen’s witty jest might be taken back home, aware that Wayne will certainly be tuning in.
Wayne made an appearance on the companion programme I’m A Celebrity Unpacked earlier on, where he teasingly suggested he’d pen a poem for Coleen’s homecoming and intriguingly didn’t dismiss the prospect of venturing into the jungle himself in future.
I’m A Celebrity continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
