Davina McCall breaks silence after brain tumour surgery and gives update after memory loss

Davina McCall has said that her memory is now “improving” following brain tumour surgery. The TV presenter posted an update to her fans on and emphasised the importance of sleep during her recovery.

Showing off a bruised left eye, Davina spoke into the camera and said she is being “brilliantly” looked after by her boyfriend, hairdresser Michael Douglas.

She also admitted that she is feeling “stronger and stronger” every day and is “just trying to sleep a lot” and “get better”.

Her full statement on read: “Every day I feel stronger and stronger. I just wanted to say thanks for all of your support, it meant the world to me and my family. And also to , he’s been a complete legend. If he’s not with me, he’s at work, for his busiest time of year bless him. I’m sleeping loads . Recovery thru sleep. I still feel so lucky. Grateful . Blessed .”

Last week, it was confirmed that Davina underwent surgery to have a benign brain tumour, known as a colloid cyst, removed.

Many of her fans have flooded the comments section with wishes of a speedy recovery.

One person said: “I have admired you for years but never comment on anything . I am so happy to see you getting stronger !”

A second also chimed in: “Go, Go, Go Davina!! You’re looking better every day – we’re all behind you QUEEN!!!”

A third also typed: “Your positivity and strength, Davina, are truly inspiring. Recovery through rest is so important, keep prioritising yourself. We’re all here cheering you on every step of the way.”
