will bank £60,000 for every nine-darter he throws at the despite being excluded from a lucrative deal ahead of the Alexandra Palace tournament. The 17-year-old could win plenty of money at the competition next month.
Bookmaker Paddy Power for every nine-darter during the tournament. The money will be split evenly between the player, charity Prostate Cancer UK and a lucky fan in the crowd.
However, Littler was excluded from the deal due to his age, which prohibits him from taking part in activities with a bookmaker. The Grand Slam champion does not turn 18 until January 21.
Littler will not miss out on the money, though, with fellow partner Village Hotels offering to match Paddy Power’s offer should last year’s runner-up throw a nine-darter. It means he will bank £60k in the event of a nine-darter.
A Village Hotels spokesperson said: “What Paddy Power and the PDC have done in supporting Prostate Cancer UK through The BIGGER 180 campaign has been remarkable, and the nine-darter bonus promises to make this year’s even bigger.
“But given what Luke has done in the sport already, and our close bond developed with the PDC since joining as a partner, we couldn’t see one of the biggest names miss out – so we wanted to do our bit.
“But if it helps inspire Luke to hitting the magic number, and if it means more money goes to saving lives as part of the wider campaign, then it’ll be a small price to pay.”
Littler has enjoyed a remarkable 12 months since rising to fame at last winter’s World Championship. He lost to in the final while still aged just 16. The Nuke has since won the and secured his first television title at the Grand Slam earlier this month.

A 16-3 thumping of Martin Lukeman in Wolverhampton means Littler is now fifth in the PDC’s order of merit.
“I’m so glad to win this title,” he said after winning the Grand Slam. “I’ve been playing really well all tournament. It’s been a tough week, but the hard work has paid off!
“I’ve always got to have my scoring power with me, no matter who I play. I had a slow start against Martin, but I kicked on from there. I knew coming into the tournament, if I did get my hands on the trophy I’d be up to number five in the world.”
