Prince William pictured on a military visit earlier today

The 42-year-old’s attendance came as the Welsh Guards carried out live firing training as they transition back from ceremonial duties l to Field Army. Not just present, the royal also got involved with an exercise during his visit this morning.
The regiment has been involved in ceremonial duties, including Trooping their Colour, the King’s Coronation and the late Queen Elizabeth’s funeral.
Dressed for the visit, a bearded William – who is colonel of the regiment – swapped his usual attire of a tailored suit for traditional military gear.
The father of three’s stubble made a video appearance earlier this year. In August, the Prince and Princess of Wales joined forces to congratulate Team GB at the end of the Olympic Games.

Although many have questioned whether stubble – or a beard – is allowed for royal duties, Wiliam’s appearance seems to answer that question.
Royal fans previously took to X to discuss their opinions on William’s new look – with some cheeky comments being voiced by some delighted fans. Earlier this year, one user cheekily wrote: “Someone call the fire department.”
Another said: ” toys with fans emotions as he rocked up to “Homelessness: Reframed” at the Saatchi Gallery earlier this year, with a distinctive 5 day facial hair growth, blowing the “Awww he shaved it off for work” rumours out of the water.”
Although with a few pictures from an engagement in London back in September, another fan wrote: ” – with his beard – looking absolutely gorgeous today as he visited the Saatchi Gallery today.”
