People think slimming down and toning up is tough, but sometimes making simple changes go a long way.

No one knows this more than personal trainer, Lizzy High, who spent the last 12 months trying to get her body into the best shape. She said she only made three simple changes to witness results, and it’s fair to say she looks pretty amazing.

While the guru looked incredible at the start of the year, she wanted her body to be more sculpted. In a recent post, she said it’s more about being balanced rather than being perfect, and direction is more important than speed.

As well as this, she said taking small steps in the right direction can lead to big results. Sometimes all it takes is making simple changes to make progress, and Lizzy’s transformation has proved this.

Within the space of 12 months her body has totally changed, and she didn’t have to deprive herself to get there. This is what she wants people to realise.

In the post, Lizzy said: “I could sit here and tell you that I’ve eaten balanced everyday, how I’ve done all my workouts and how reaching my goals has been all sunshine and rainbows, but I would straight up lying. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve followed my plans and stayed consistent where I can but 2024 in all honesty has probably been one of the most stressful years of my life.”There have been days where it feels hard to get out bed. Days where I’ve eaten way too many biscuits or sugar due to stress, and days where I have barely slept leading to poor recovery.”I’m not saying this for sympathy. But, to tell you that I get it. I have s**t days too. Reaching your goals is freaking hard sometimes, but the only reason I’ve still managed to see progress is because I have never given up.

“I see everyday as a new opportunity and keep on pushing no matter what. So if you’ve had a bad day, or a bad week or even a bad month. Don’t let that stop you from getting to where you want to be. Your future self would be so proud of you for never giving up.”

Since she shared the post, it’s been liked over 1,000 times, and her followers were quick to comment too. People admitted it was advice they “needed” to hear.

Lizzy is known for sharing and fitness advice online, and also puts together healthy recipes too. She wants to teach women they can get fit without imposing too many restrictions.
