Graham Potter lasted a matter of months in charge of Chelsea
could be about to gift his former club a major cash boost, should the former manager take up the reins at Leicester City.
Potter spent a short but not-so-sweet spell at Stamford Bridge at the beginning of the era, with the Englishman ushered in following Thomas Tuchel’s departure during the 2022/23 campaign.
He was unable to see the season out though, as Boehly pulled the plug on Potter after a string of disappointing results.
Despite his much-maligned spell as Blues boss, Potter could help his former employers balance their books by signing ’s unwanted stars.
Carney Chukwuemeka
Carney Chukwuemeka, Remember him? Well, Maresca certainly doesn’t. The talented midfielder has featured just three times for this term, all of which have come off the bench.
In fact, such has been Maresca’s unwillingness to use Chukwuemeka, the former Aston Villa starlet hasn’t been named in any of ’s squads.
Signed for £20million in the summer of 2022, Chukwuemeka was somewhat of a regular under Potter, featuring 12 times across his brief spell as manager.
Clearly unfancied by Maresca, perhaps Potter could offer Chukwuemeka refuge at his next club.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall hasn’t had the start to life at Chelsea he’d have hoped for
Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall
Brought off the bench against Leicester over the weekend, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s one-minute cameo was just his fourth appearance since penning a £30m move in the summer.
Unlike the other potentially disgruntled members of ’s team, Dewsbury-Hall was brought to the club by former Foxes gaffer Maresca, with the pair enjoying a successful league-winning season with Leicester last time out.
But if minutes continue to prove hard to come by, Dewsbury-Hall might have to consider an early exit, with a return to Leicester likely to be one option on the table.

Axel Disasi
Another player who arrived with big expectations that have so far not been matched was Axel Disasi, who joined from Monaco for close to £40m in 2023.
Three months into the 2024/25 season he’s featured just twice in the , with the majority of his minutes having been reserved for the several cup fixtures.
Set to turn 27 in the spring, Disasi is entering his peak years as a professional and won’t want to spend them sitting rotting away on the bench.
Relegation-threatened Leicester might not be his ideal destination, but the lure of regular football could be enough to turn his head.
