The hotel is situated in the heart of Warwickshire
Mallory Court Country House Hotel & Spa is a beautifully grand Lutyens-style house, set on 10 acres of ground in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside, just five minutes from Leamington Spa. It boasts a cosy and inviting feel to it all thanks to its period features and stunning surrounding countryside.
Set on 10 acres of land, the four-star hotel is also home to Elan Spa which sits next to the historic house, and it’s nothing short of luxury.
Within the hotel is its restaurant known as The Dining Room, which has 3 AA Rosettes, which are awarded to outstanding restaurants.
It was also recently awarded AA Small Hotel Group of The Year 2024-2025, so I was super excited for my stay. Upon receiving the award, the hotel said: “We are delighted to be independently recognised by the AA and receive this award.
“To receive such an accolade not once, but twice in 10 years is a first and is a testament to the consistent delivery of quality, service and hospitality across all our hotels.”
The bedrooms in the hotel are stunning
Rooms
Mallory Court offers 43 individually designed bedrooms, with options such as a double room available, classic, and more luxurious rooms like the master suite.
I stayed in the Hidcote room, situated with gorgeous views of the gardens, and a very short walk from the main reception.
The room was light, bright and extremely spacious with a proper hallway, fitted wardrobes and a separate bathroom and toilet, which were both large in size.
The bedroom was absolutely huge and fitted a large bed with extremely comfortable pillows and bedding, a large armchair as well as a table and chairs, and a desk with a seat.
I loved the set-up of the coffee machine in the hallway which also came complete with biscuits, tea, coffee and hot chocolate, which is rare to find in hotels.
The mini fridge was also packed with drinks and milk, which was a surprising and lovely touch.
The night’s sleep was incredibly comfortable, and I always struggle to sleep in a new bed, but I didn’t wake up once.
The Dining Room was cosy and comfortable
Elan Spa
Elan Spa, which is situated just a minute’s walk from the main hotel is a gorgeous building, careful not to take away from the look of the historic main house.
The spa has state-of-the-art facilities such as an indoor salt sauna, an indoor steam room, an indoor Hydrotherapy swimming pool, an outdoor glass-fronted sauna and an outdoor Vitality Pool.
Guests are also free to use the gym which is situated within the spa building.
Whilst my boyfriend went off and explored the spa which he said was “incredible”, I headed upstairs for a facial.
The staff were incredibly welcoming upon arrival and after filling out a form, I headed into the relaxing room for a consultation.
Luxury Temple Spa products were used throughout the My Kinda Skin treatment, tailored to my skin type, and my skin felt absolutely incredible after.
It included a skin analysis, triple cleanse, exfoliation, facial massage, a personalised mask and a scalp massage.
The spa also offers a variety of other treatments, including massages as well as nail treatments.
I’ve had many facials throughout the years, and this was the most relaxing and most beneficial for my skin.
The spa also has its own cafe where guests can purchase refreshments to keep hydrated throughout their spa experience.
The dinner was incredibly tasty and presented well
Dining
With three AA Rosettes, The Dining Room uses freshly harvested produce from their kitchen gardens to produce delicious meals.
It’s easy to see why this restaurant is loved, with the dining area adjoined by an inviting lounge space just off the lobby, creating a cosy homely feel.
The Dining Room is complete with traditional wooden panelling, a large open fireplace and comfortable chairs, a perfect environment for dinner.
I’ve never experienced a dinner like I did in The Dining Room before, and it was definitely a standout part of the overnight stay.
The ham hock for starter was incredibly delicious with all of the flavours complementing one another, whilst the venison for main course was something like I’ve never tasted before.
The attention to detail was incredible and the venison melted in my mouth, all washed down with a glass of wine, which was constantly topped up by the waiters.
Special touches were added to the dining experience such as an appetiser on the house as well as homemade sourdough bread with truffle butter and Marmite butter.
The Dining Room also offers a taster menu consisting of more than six courses for £105, but on the main menu two courses are currently £65, and three are £80 per person, which is incredibly reasonable for the standard of food.
My breakfast was in the same dining room and dinner, with the menu offering both continental and hot food options.
I opted for toast, porridge and a fresh fruit salad and couldn’t fault the service or the food at all.

Final thoughts
I’m already itching to revisit Mallory Court thanks to how welcoming the staff was, how delicious the food was and how comfortable the rooms were.
Every single staff member was incredibly inviting, and couldn’t do more for you as well as being dressed so smart at all times.
It’s easy to see why this hotel is busy throughout the year, but it never felt too overcrowded despite being fully booked.
I’d highly recommend taking a trip to Mallory Court, whether for a spa weekend or even just for dinner. The location is well-suited for those looking to enjoy the outdoors or to stay inside for a spa weekend.
Prices vary based on the season, day of the week and room type. The room tariff for a classic room is between £190 and £230 per night, with two hours of complimentary spa access included.
