Meghan Markle has issued a defiant statement about her Royal Family exit
has issued a very telling statement which details exactly how she feels about with and , now she’s out of the .
The Duchess of Sussex sensationally quit senior royal duties alongside her husband in 2020 – and a lot has changed since then.
What followed was row after row, sparked in part by Harry and Meghan’s appearances in , as well as a bombshell interview with their pal Oprah Winfrey, and the Duke’s tell-all memoir Spare.
However, despite the fallout from their public attacks on the Firm, it appears the couple are happier than ever in , California, where they currently live with their children Prince Archie, five, and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.
Meghan, 43, told that spending Christmas with her small family across the pond is one of her favourite times of the year.

Hinting at how she feels now with a touching five-word remark years after her royal exit, Meghan said “every year it gets better” – particularly now her children are getting to the age where they understand what is going on.
The Duchess added that the family are “always pretty low key” when it comes to major celebrations like Thanksgiving and Christmas, sometimes spending it with her mother Doria Ragland.
This is made further obvious by the fact that Meghan and Harry rarely share photos of their young children, preferring to keep them out of the spotlight.
Had the royals remained in the fold back in the UK, their Christmas holidays would likely be very different, spent surrounded by their large family at Sandringham.
The Wales’ children will likely know very little about their Montecito cousins
Meghan added that “every single holiday is a new adventure”, while highlighting that one of the most important things to her is to ensure they keep the “magic” of cherished customs alive.
She said: “Like any other family, you spend time having a great meal and then what do you do?
“Play games, all the same stuff, someone brings a guitar — fun.”
However, despite the fun family Christmas in store for the Sussexes, it is once again another year of Archie and Lilibet being separated from their cousins in England, including Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, as well as Mike and Zara Tindall’s children: Mia, Lena and Lucas.
It appears unlikely the Sussexes will join the rest of the Royal Family at Sandringham this Christmas, as relations remain frosty between the two sides.
Royal author Phil Dampier told : “It’s so sad that the Wales’ kids basically know very little about their cousins across the pond and are never likely to be close to them. It’s not thought that George Charlotte and Louis have ever met Archie and Lilibet.”
