BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent calls out rival BBC show after spotting obvious error

couldn’t help but call out their rival  show after she spotted an obvious error.

During Monday’s visit (November 25) to the studios, the 53-year-old broadcaster and her co-host woke up the nation with the biggest news hitting the headlines.

This included the ongoing impact caused by Storm Bert over the weekend and the ongoing action being taken to prevent spiking in the UK.

Later on in the show, the pair introduced the cast of Morning Live on the show as they teased some of the exciting segments they have lined up on the show.

But one segment had the 53-year-old broadcaster scratching her head as she pointed out a glaring error live on air.

Throwing the programme over to hosts Michelle Ackerley and Rav Wilding, the pair discussed a new quiz the has launched to help raise awareness for scams.

But it’s not just the public who can have a go, as they revealed that the cast had all completed the online quiz, with their results set to be announced later on in the programme.

Rav explained: “Lots of familiar faces have done it already, including yourselves Jon and Sally. How was it?” Returning to the studios, a sheepish Sally admitted: “We don’t know, we think we did okay.”

Jon added: “Gosh it really made you think, didn’t it? It made us think and really question everything you know and read. Rav, how did you do? You must have got top marks surely?”

Switching back to the Morning Live set, the broadcaster confirmed with a grin: “Well, yes, I did, but I’m allowed to. But yeah, it’s harder than it looks.”

Michelle went on: “Well, we’ll actually be showing the results of our scam scores later on in the show if you’re tuning in. And actually, anybody can have a go.”

It was at this point that the camera panned over to the scoreboard which revealed the results of the quiz, with Sally and Jon topping the leaderboard.

As they threw the show back to the famous red sofa, Jon chuckled: “ wanna see who’s first on that scoreboard” as Sally agreed: “I know I think they might have just given the game away.”

Jon echoed: “I just saw that, not that we’re competitive in any way” as the mum-of-one added: “No, but we were a good team though.”

Breakfast airs every day on One from 6am or catch up on iPlayer.
