A gunman is on the loose after an eight-year-old girl and man were injured in a double shooting in west London.
Police have launched an appeal after the incident in Southern Row, Ladbroke Grove, on Sunday afternoon.
A 34-year-old man and a girl aged eight were then taken to a hospital.
Superintendent Owen Renowden, in charge of policing for Kensington and Chelsea, said: “This is an appalling incident that has left two people seriously injured, including a young girl who thankfully is in a stable condition this morning.
“I am appealing to the public who may have been in the area at the time of the shooting.
“Did you hear any gunshots around 17:30hrs yesterday evening? Did you see anyone fleeing from the area? We are keen to hear from anyone who may have any information surrounding this incident.”

Witness heard ‘boom, boom, boom, boom’
A retail worker said they heard “boom, boom, boom, boom”.
They told the Metro: “There was a gap between the shots then I heard a scream.
“It sounded like from a child.”

‘It’s very scary’, double shooting witness says
Father of five, Ali Hussien, 52, told the same publication he heard four or five bangs and thought it was fireworks.
The Uber driver added: “There were suddenly police everywhere. Now I know it was a shooting. It’s very scary.
“Especially as I have children. I have a daughter, nine, so I fear for my children. The police do their best but there is a lot of crime.”
‘My baby’s been shot’ – witness describes ordeal
A witness told the Metro newspaper she heard shots and then a woman shouting, “My baby, my baby’s been shot”. The 64-year-old added: “It makes me sick to think about it now.”
The witness said she heard four or five shots and screaming, adding: “It’s horrible. A neighbour went out with a duvet to cover the injured.”

The Met Police has said a woman, 32, was also taken to hospital as a precaution but was not injured.
Police says girl, 8, not suffering life-threatening injuries
London’s Metropolitan Police has said in a statement that the eight-year-old girl is not suffering life-changing injuries.
The force said: “We await an update on the condition of the man. We also await an update on the girl, but she does not have life-threatening injuries.”
