Pippa Middleton’s controversial wedding rule that split up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle

Pippa Middleton is well-known across the UK for being the , with her biggest debut being at to in 2011.

While she walked behind her sister down the aisle of Westminster Abbey, it appears the favour was returned when the Princess of Wales, 42, was supporting to hedge fund manager James Matthews in Englefield, Berkshire.

At the wedding, Kate looked delight as she stood with Princess Charlotte and Prince George, who were both dressed for the occasion, smiling proudly at her sister.

While Princess Kate, , and even his brother were invited to the ceremony, reception at Englefield House, and evening party at Kate and Pippa’s parents’ home, the same could not be said for , who was invited only to the reception and party.

, this resulted from fears that the duchess – who was not yet married to at the time – would overshadow the big day with her presence.

As well as not being invited to the service, the duchess was also not able to sit with Harry, 40, during the reception.

According to , Pippa, now 41, had a strict seating plan that separated every couple so that her guests could get to know each other.

This meant Meghan spent the occasion with ‘s wife Mirka, instead of her new boyfriend , who was reportedly sat with ITV News at Ten presenter Tom Bradby.

It was not known how the duchess, who reportedly wore a black dress to the event, felt about this.

Since their big day, Pippa and James have gone on to have three children Arthur, five, Grace, three, and baby Rose.

Pippa is believed to still be Princess Kate, along with , with the siblings living in close proximity to one another.

Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, are also believed to be close to Pippa’s three children and James’ baby Inigo, one.
