Morrisons urgently recalls garlic that is ‘unsafe to eat’ – Lidl & Tesco also issue alerts

The (FSA) explained: “An ingredient has been omitted from the product that prevents microbiological growth making the product potentially unsafe to eat.”

Morrisons said “there is a potential risk to consumers” which is why the urgent recall has been issued.

There’s no need for a receipt in order to get a full refund. Morrisons added: “We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause and assure customers of our continuing commitment to the highest standard of product quality and safety.”

Meanwhile, Lidl recalled Meadow Fresh Potato Salads because of the possible presence of copper.

The FSA clarified: “The possible presence of copper makes these products unsafe to eat.”

Lidl said: “If you have bought the above product, we advise you not to eat it. Customers are asked to return this product to the nearest store where a full refund will be given.

Tesco has recalled its Tzatziki Dip because of contamination with salmonella, which can lead to people experiencing fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps.

Tesco said: “We are recalling a specific date code of Tesco Tzatziki Dip (200g) due to the presence of salmonella, found during routine testing.

“If you have purchased any of the affected date code of the above product, please do not eat it. Instead, return it to an Tesco store for a full refund.”
