Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will undoubtedly be planning their Christmas holidays with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

While it is unknown how the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will be spending the festive period, it is highly unlikely that they’ll be spending it in the UK due to the couple’s ongoing rift with the Royal Family.

However, according to one royal expert, the couple are set to mark the occasion in a special way for Archie and Lilibet.

Former royal correspondent Jennie Bond claimed the couple will likely be staying in California for the festive period and spend the holidays with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland.

She told : “I think most women like to be with their mums on Christmas Day.

“Given that Doria does not seem to have any other family she wants to share the festivities with, I think it’s a fair bet that Meghan will want to be with her and that would mean them all being in California.

“All in all I think the chances are that Harry, Meghan, the children and Doria will enjoy Christmas in the sunshine in Montecito.

“It will probably be a time of some reflection for Harry – he has written about his nostalgia for times when his UK family were all together.”

The royal expert added: “But, as any parent knows, when your kids are rushing around, manically ripping opening presents and getting thoroughly over-excited at Christmas, there’s not much time to think of anything other than keeping them happy and stopping them fighting.

“So, I reckon it will be a fun and sun-filled Christmas in Montecito.”

Meanwhile, across the pond, the royals are bracing for a full festive schedule with most members of the Royal Family heading to Sandringham for the annual get-together.

Since the late Queen Elizabeth’s passing, her son, King Charles, has carried the custom of inviting the entire Royal Family for Christmas Day’s church service, which is followed by the traditional Christmas dinner at the Sandringham Estate.

It is unknown whether and were invited to this year’s festivities.
