The research concluded the best cities for first-time buyers by combining quality of life and how long on average it takes for buyers to save.
boasts a high quality of life score of 178, thanks to scoring highly (84.72) on the Health Care Index and Climate Index (87.4).
The city also scored highly on the Safety Index (76.48), providing reassurance about the city’s low crime rate.

The small city has a welcoming and cosy community feeling but also has a range of amenities such as a busy shopping high street, cafes, bars, pubs, and parks.

In second place is Lisburn in Northern Ireland which scored 75.7, both with high quality of life scores and taking almost less than three years on average to save for a deposit.
