NFL legend Jason Kelce and his wife, Kylie McDevitt Kelce, just announced that they are expecting their fourth baby, and it’s a girl!
Kylie Kelce shared the news on Instagram Friday night with photos of their three adorable girls, Wyatt, Elliotte and Bennett, wearing “Big Sister” sweaters, and it appears they are having mixed emotions about welcoming another sister.
“I feel like we captured a very accurate representation of how each of the girls feel about getting another sister. At least Ellie, mom and dad are on the same page!” Kylie Kelce wrote.
This announcement shouldn’t come as a total surprise to devoted fans of the retired Philadelphia Eagles center and his activist wife. They left us a few hints along the way.
While chatting about her favorite products with New York magazine’s “The Strategist,” Kylie Kelce revealed that the couple’s three daughters all share Hanna Andersson pajama sets, and that she and Jason Kelce were holding onto them in case another baby was in their future.
“We still have some packed up, just in case there ends up being a fourth,” she said.
Kylie Kelce isn’t the only one who suggested that the Kelce family might not yet be complete.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, 37-year-old Jason Kelce said, “Kylie has expressed before we started having kids, she wanted a big family. So we’ll see what the future holds.”
He added, “Right now we’ve got our hands full with three of them. So it’s hard to imagine another one running around.”
Jason and Kylie Kelce have already adjusted to being outnumbered by their kids.
In an interview with TODAY.com in February 2024, Kylie Kelce called the transition from two to three kids “innnteresting.” She said, “With two, you have one for each hand. At any point, you can grab and catch both of them.” And now, when her kids scatter in three directions, she has to do the mom math of, “Who do I grab first?”
Even with the inevitable messes and meltdowns, parenting seems to come naturally to the Kelces.
“For me, fatherhood is the most important thing in my life,” Jason Kelce said.
“It’s a beautiful thing, raising children. But it’s hard,” Kylie Kelce told TODAY.com in April. “It’s OK to sit in the chaos. It’s OK to feel those moments when it’s hard because I think it makes the sweet parts even sweeter.”
To get through the tough stuff, Kylie Kelce said she tells herself: “I did it last time. I can do it again.”
She once joked that labor and delivery worked in much the same way. “Every time I’ve gone into the birthing room at the hospital, I’m like, ‘Here we go. I did this. I did this and it wasn’t that bad.”
