At the time, he said: “My daughter Flo is 24 now,” Simon replied. “About five or six years ago she had her drink spiked.
“She went out for lunch with some friends and she had about three glasses of wine.
“She came home and she was in a right state and we were saying to her, ‘How much have you had to drink?’ She said, ‘I’ve only had three glasses of wine I’m really scared I don’t know what’s happening.’”
He continued: “We took her to A&E and I’ll be honest with you they thought we were over-anxious parents, ‘Your daughter has had too much to drink.'”
“But it wasn’t her behaviour was completely different and it really shook her up – it was a horrible time.”

The Sunday Brunch star opened up to help raise awareness
Steph asked: “How did you feel as a parent going through that?” “You feel terrified,” he admitted. “One because she’s very open, she’s pretty sensible, she likes to party like most young people do.
“But you feel that fear that really hasn’t gone away and because I’m involved in the hospitality industry it is a problem. I agree with the boycott but I’m not quite sure what the solution is.”
“I think the worst thing about it is people are doing this for entertainment,” he continued. “People are spiking people’s drinks to see how they react purely for their entertainment which sounds hideous.”
