Escape to the Country couple blown away as host unveils ‘never seen before’ feature

Escape to the Country presenter Jules Hudson left a couple speechless as he unveiled a mystery house boasting an extraordinary feature that had he has never seen before.

In the latest instalment of the beloved series, aired on Thursday, Jules was tasked helping a couple make the big move from Lancashire to the scenic vistas of Moray, Scotland.

The property-seeking duo, Maria, who works as a higher education consultant, and Danielle, a newly retired police sergeant, came equipped with a substantial £400,000 budget. They sought a home that could comfortably house their dogs, cats, and 26 chickens, with a strong emphasis on energy efficiency or the potential for it.

Jules pulled out all the stops, showcasing a selection of homes, but it was the enigmatic mystery house that left the pair speechless.

Located in Lossiemouth, Moray, this one-of-a-kind, custom-built detached residence featured an impressive entrance hall, a magnificent open-plan kitchen-living-dining area, a mezzanine study space, and three bedrooms, including an opulent suite, reports .

Yet, it was a particular detail that caught everyone off guard a breathtaking balcony situated mid-wall, complete with grand iron railings, offering a commanding view over the exquisite dining and living space below.

Stepping inside, Jules bypassed the ground floor social areas and ascended directly to the top of the staircase, where he highlighted: “The view of the kitchen-diner, one quite unlike any I’ve ever seen before.”

Danielle was captivated, confessing: “This is stunning. Aw Jules you’ve floored us with this one.” Maria echoed the sentiment: “It is stunning. It’s a wildest dream, I would never have thought you could find something like this.”

After a comprehensive look around the property, all three stepped out into the garden to hypothesise about the house’s market value. Danielle’s estimate came in at £395,000 while Maria felt confident that bids had exceeded £380,000.

Their jaws dropped for a second time when Jules announced: “You will be delighted to know, I am sure, this has been slightly reduced. They’re now looking for offers over £365,000.”

Despite their appreciation for the house, Maria and Danielle ultimately decided against making an offer, choosing instead to buy another property after wrapping up their stint on the programme.
