has warned that he will be ‘cancelled’ by the ‘snowflake woke brigade’ over a viral interaction with former Lionesses footballer Jill Scott.
The pair both appeared on a recent episode of , in which Scott recounted being ‘smashed’ by former striker Marlon Harewood. She said: “I was playing in a charity game at the weekend and Marlon Harewood absolutely smashed us! He’s a big guy.”
After some murmuring noises of agreement from fellow pundits , Paul Scholes and Ian Wright, legend Keane chimed in with: “And what was the game like?”
All five of them fell about laughing, including Scott, before Wright interjected with: “Roy, you can’t say that! That’s got to go!” But Scott insisted: “Please keep that in!”
The clip was posted by The Overlap’s official account on Thursday morning, and it has been viewed two million times in seven hours. fan Morgan gave his approval on while warning Keane that not everyone will find it funny.
He wrote: “This is very ‘inappropriate’, and will deeply offend every member of the joyless over-sensitive snowflake woke brigade, who will all now demand be cancelled (good luck with that…) – and I laughed my head off [laughing emojis].”

Irishman Keane has become a well-liked personality on British TV, regularly appearing on Sky Sports and ITV to provide his footballing expertise. His brash, no-nonsense, straight-to-the-point approach also sets him apart from others.
The 53-year-old produced another as recently as Sunday, when he was on punditry duties for England’s 5-0 win over the Republic of Ireland. Keane’s future son-in-law, Taylor Harwood-Bellis, came off the bench for his Three Lions debut and headed in his first goal to compound Ireland’s misery at Wembley.
“It’s bittersweet for me this. [The marriage] is not done and dusted yet,” Keane joked. “Things can change very quickly in the Keane household, let me tell you. Over the last few months he has got a goal threat, even playing for Southampton. It is nice for him.
“It’s good for him, it’s good for him to make his debut, like I say he has a goal threat. He’s a nice kid, his family have done a great job, he is a really nice kid.”
