Reddit is suffering a major outage
Reddit is down for millions of users worldwide as the social discussion site appears to be suffering its second major outage in as many days.
“We have encountered an error. Please try again later.”, a big red banner said at the top of the homepage when Express.co.uk tried to access .com.
“We are currently investigating a problem with our site.”, acknowledged at 7:51am PST on Thursday its official service status page, which was at 3:51pm UK time
The website Down Detector showed on Thursday afternoon more than 12,000 reports from the public that was not working for them. The issues began around 3pm UK time, though had also seen trouble on Wednesday evening, with the firm confirming problems to media.
A spokesperson told that “there was a bug in a recent update we made, but a fix in place and we’re ramping back up.”
But the problems have started up again this afternoon and users have taken to other media sites such as X to complain.
One X user named Albino said: “I guess is down. How else am I supposed to waste time looking at cat and guinea pig pictures?”
Another named hmzx added: “Yes. is down. Second shortage after yesterday’s crash. Unacceptable.”
‘s own X account had even gone as far to try and meme the fact it went down on Wednesday, posting the below to its official page:

‘s outages this week coincided with a brief period on Thursday where globally popular payment platform with users unable to log in or transfer funds.
