One of the UK’s cheapest homes is set to go under the hammer for a mere £12,000, but it comes with an unwelcome feature: a colossal amount of pigeon poo.

The three-bedroom end terrace in Blackpool, poised for auction on December 5 this year, presents a unique challenge with its severe feral bird infestation, leaving the property swamped in droppings.

A shocking photo from inside the Haig Road house, which is too hazardous to view, captures six pigeons perched in what was once a bedroom, the floor and furniture buried under layers of their waste.

Their listing warns: “Facing Haig Road with rear access to the yard via Adrian Street, just back from the seafront and beach. The house requires a strip out and re-fit. No viewings due to internal condition – the property has a pigeon infestation.”

Additional images reveal the home’s dilapidated state, with fixtures torn from walls and a living room cupboard bizarrely propped against bay windows, while more pigeons loom over a kitchen fridge.

The backyard is similarly blighted by a heap of construction debris. Network Auctions has tagged the property with a guide price between £12,000 and £15,000, noting that it demands “complete refurbishment”.
