Former boss is said to be “very excited” by the prospect of working with French second tier side Paris FC after the group secured a stake in the club.
Klopp only departed at the end of last season but has already slotted into his next role in the game. It was announced in October that the German had taken up a position as the ‘s Global Head of Soccer.
The 57-year-old won’t start his new job until January 1, 2025 but he has already revealed to French businessman and, Antoine Arnault that he is stirred for the task ahead. Arnault, who is also the vice-chairman and CEO of fashion brand Christian Dior, is to become the new 52 per cent majority shareholder of the club, while the energy drink conglomerate will own 11 per cent.

Speaking on the new venture, Arnault claimed he had talked to Klopp with the former Mainz boss declaring that was thrilled by the upcoming project. The billionaire businessman also stated the rules around ‘s involvement with Paris FC.
“So I don’t want to speak for him, but indeed, when I talked to Jürgen Klopp the other day, that’s what I felt (That would focus on Paris). But it’s quite logical,” Arnault said during an interview given to .
“Yes, he is excited. There is both the sporting side that excites him, but also making history, creating something new around this great Parisian project in terms of brand building.”
Arnault confirmed later in a press conference that he actually conversed with the ex-Dortmund boss on several occasions. He also shed light on what Klopp’s involvement will mean for the club.

“I was able to talk several times with Klopp,” he said. “He is very excited about the project and the prospect of coming to work with teams here. also has absolutely revolutionary data tools that will help us on scouting. They’re a sporting partner, they’re going to help us in all sorts of ways, to recruit the best players and to find them better than others.”
Joining their portfolio of clubs such as RB Leipzig, Salzburg, New York Red Bulls, Bragantino, FC Liefering and, most recently Leeds United, the company’s percentage in Paris is expected to increase to 15 per cent, and Arnault’s to 80, once current president Pierre Ferracci relinquishes control of the 30 per cent he has until 2027.
“The club will belong to my family. It will not be co-owned by the Arnault family and ,”Arnault said via . “They don’t want to get into timeshare with a hypothetical Paris FC, it’s not at all the same logic they have at Leipzig, Salzburg and other clubs.
“Ultimately it’s true that when you look at the project as it exists today, there is an anomaly in Paris. The fact of having only one big club, immense certainly, but only one club. We are the only major city in Europe to have just one. Most major cities have two, or even between five and ten concerning London for example.”
with the company in October, Klopp said: “After almost 25 years on the sideline, I could not be more excited to get involved in a project like this. The role may have changed but my passion for football and the people who make the game what it is has not.
“By joining at a global level, I want to develop, improve and support the incredible football talent that we have at our disposal. “There are many ways that we can do this front using the elite knowledge and experience that possesses to learning from other sports and other industries. Together we can discover what is possible.”
