has insisted that he is ready for his final three races at despite suggesting he would skip them .After crossing the finish line at Interlagos earlier this month, Hamilton fuelled speculation that he would make an early exit by saying: “If this is the last time that I get to perform, it’s a shame it wasn’t great, but I’m grateful for you.”He later told reporters that he was ready for Christmas and added: “I could happily go and take a holiday.” However, the 39-year-old is not giving up on just yet after issuing a defiant message ahead of this weekend’s race in Las Vegas.

“I think just me being here, standing and talking, I feel strong,” he told . “I’ve been training well. I feel great. Honestly, I feel like I’m in the best place I’ve been all year mentally. Considering how bad the last race was, I think that says enough.”Hamilton also highlighted the ‘microaggressions’ he has faced during his time in Formula One, insisting that nothing will bring him down at this stage of his career.”I’ve been around this game for a long time,” he said. “There have been so many things that are said about me. There have been so many microaggressions.”Obviously, not from my boss, he’s been supportive over all these years and we’ve achieved a lot together. I mean in general, in the media, but nothing will take me down. I’m still here. I’m still fighting and I’m going to continue to push.”

Asked to clarify his post-race comments in Brazil, Hamilton admitted that he wanted to walk away from in the heat of the moment but has since calmed down after taking some time to reflect.”In the moment that’s how I felt, like, I didn’t really want to come back after that weekend,” he explained. “In the heat of the moment, for sure, I would much rather be on the beach and chilling and I don’t need to do this.”But I’m here, I love this job, and I’m going to give it my all in these last few races and finish strong. That was always the plan.”Hamilton will be desperate to end his spell on a positive note by performing well in Las Vegas before travelling to Qatar and Abu Dhabi to finish the campaign.
