Tattoo parlours around the globe have seen an increase in requests for a meaningful design Payne himself wore — the five arrows tattoo, symbolizing the five members of One Direction: Liam Payne, Harry Styles, , Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik.
On Payne’s arm, four arrows represented his bandmates, while the fifth arrow, now included in fan tattoos, symbolizes him.
Fans have taken this iconic design and added a new twist to memorialize the late singer: angel wings. The wings are often drawn beneath the arrow representing Payne, creating a tribute to the deceased star.

“Finally took the step to get my One Direction tattoo, but in the saddest way possible — for Liam Payne. I always imagined it would be a happier moment, not under these circumstances.
“I would’ve chosen a different time, a different reason, but now feels right. I’m proud I pushed through the pain and cost to honour Liam in this way. These tattoos will help me process my grief and keep his memory close.”
Another fan revealed they had “finally got the tattoo” they had been planning for years, adding angel wings to pay tribute to the Strip That Down singer. Social media platforms, have been flooded with fans sharing their tattoos and expressing how the ink is helping them cope with their grief.
Loyal followers have also honoured the dad-of-one in other ways, with some traveling to the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where Payne tragically passed away after falling from a third-floor balcony in October.

The tributes continued during Payne’s private funeral, held today at a church in Buckinghamshire. The service was attended by his former bandmates Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, and Zayn Malik, marking their first public reunion since their final concert in 2015.
Other notable attendees included , , Radio 2’s Scott Mills, and Marvin and Rochelle Humes.
In addition to tattoos, some fans have launched charitable initiatives in Payne’s name. One supporter started a fundraiser for The Trussell Trust, a charity Payne worked closely with, setting a target of £1,000 to help the organization continue its work tackling poverty and supporting food banks across the UK.
The star’s final act of kindness was also revealed in the funeral order of service, which urged guests to donate to Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital, echoing his recent efforts to support fundraisers for sick children.
In a touching gesture, all funds will dedicated to building a new Children’s Cancer Centre.
