The biggest night in country music is nearly here! The 58th Annual Country Music Association Awards, or CMA Awards, are fast approaching, with some of the most famous names in country music set to take the stage to perform.
Every year, over 6,000 members of the Country Music Association come together to determine which artists should take home the top awards, like entertainer of the year, album of the year and female and male vocalists of the year, according to the CMA Awards’ website.
For the 2024 ceremony, Luke Combs, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton, Morgan Wallen and Lainey Wilson will battle it out to see who will be named entertainer of the year. Combs, Stapleton and Jelly Roll also join Kacey Musgraves and Cody Johnson in the album of the year category. Stapleton is expected to be highlighted throughout the night as he will open the ceremony performing with Post Malone. The duo recently collaborated on a song on Malone’s “F-1 Trillion” country album, which was released in August, called “California Sober.”
There will also be a tribute to honor George Strait, who is being presented with the CMA Willie Nelson Lifetime Achieve Award, per the CMA Awards’ website.
To present these awards and others during the show, the CMA Awards have tapped Simone Biles, Jeff Bridges, Freddie Freeman, Don Johnson, Little Big Town, Billy Bob Thornton and more stars.

When are the 2024 CMA Awards?
The 2024 CMA Awards will air live on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 8 p.m. ET/ 7 p.m. CT from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Where to watch and stream the 2024 CMA Awards
The ceremony will be broadcast on ABC, which has been the CMA Awards’ home since 2006, per the Country Music Association. Cable subscribers can also stream the show on ABC.com.
The awards show will be available to stream on Hulu the following day.
Those who don’t have a TV provider can access the ABC showing using DirecTV Stream, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV or YouTube TV, many of which offer a free trial.
Who is hosting the 2024 CMA Awards?
For the 2024 CMA Awards, country music star Lainey Wilson is not only a nominee and a performer, but a host, as well. Wilson will join fellow country music singer Luke Bryan and retired NFL star Peyton Manning as hosts.
Bryan and Manning co-hosted the ceremony last year, where Wilson was named entertainer of the year and female vocalist of the year.
