Prince Harry met with school children on Monday
made a heartfelt gesture , it has emerged.
The Duke of Sussex stepped out in Vancouver on Monday , a historic military facility, where he met schoolchildren and launched an online programme to introduce the Invictus Games into schools.
Harry travelled solo to launch the programme for the 2025 event, which is due to be held in Vancouver and Whistler in February.

According to a statement published on the Duke and Duchess’s official website, each student was to be handed tickets for themselves and a family member to attend the Invictus Games 2025 Opening Ceremonies.
The statement said: “In a moment of true excitement, the students were then surprised with a special announcement: they would each receive tickets for themselves and a family member to attend the Invictus Games 2025 Opening Ceremonies – a gesture that not only celebrated their participation but also gave them the opportunity to witness firsthand the remarkable spirit of the Games […] As these students embark on their own learning journeys, they carry forward the message that the power of sport, recovery, and unity can change lives—and together, we can continue to build a more inclusive world for all.”
Harry said while addressing the crowd on Monday: “It’s an honour to be back here with you.
“Meeting the kids today, seeing them learn about the Invictus Games has had a profound impact on me because this is where Invictus starts to go even wider outside of the Invictus community, into schools in Canada and hopefully around the world.”

Prince Harry handed tickets for the 2025 Invictus Games to all the school children
It was Harry’s second public appearance on Monday while in Canada without his wife . Earlier in the day, he attended the 2024 Grey Cup ahead of the game between Toronto Argonauts and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
Harry, who is a former British Army captain himself, launched the Invictus Games in 2014 as an international sports tournament for injured and wounded service personnel and returned veterans.
The 2025 games will feature the debut of winter sports, including Nordic Skiing, wheelchair curling, snowboarding and alpine skiing.
