“I popped it on the piano and set it to music, it happened so naturally the way the words and music flowed together. I was able to set his lovely magical story to music, it was such a treat!”

Speaking about the inspiration behind the album, Alan said: “I come from a Yorkshire childhood, when I was young, we didn’t have central heating then and the ice would form on the inside of your window, you’d scratch it off, and you’d look out on a landscape very much like this one behind us, and it had all been transformed overnight, we just wanted to make a family tale for Christmas all about the magic of Jack Frost.”
