Dean McCullough dramatically quit the latest trial
star Paul Coyte has speculated that Dean McCullough could have a game plan on .
During Wednesday’s instalment (November 20) of GB News, Paul discussed Dean’s sudden exit from the latest bushtucker trial with and on their Breakfast Show.
Paul raised the idea that Dean could be playing up to the cameras to ensure he is voted for the next trial, thus earning more screentime.
Referring to his early departure from the trial, Eamonn quipped: “You thought he was a bit whimpy there?”
The presenter responded: “Do you think that the more people react and make a fuss, because you know what agents are like, you know what showbiz is like, they’ll get more screentime and they’ll be on TV more because they’ll be voted more and they’ll want to be involved?”
Isabel, 41, immediately shut down the idea as she responded: “I think Dean genuinely was terrified. But I think you would be to.”
The newsreader claimed that Paul “freaks out” any time she mentions mice before asking if he can handle spiders.
“He wasn’t dealing with any of that,” Eamonn chimed in. “He was just dealing with sand.”
Last night’s trial saw Dean, 32, break down in tears as he took on The Sinister Sarcophagus. The Radio 1 DJ was tasked with answering a series of Egypt-related questions in order to win 10 stars for camp.
As the trial kicked off, sand surrounded Dean’s legs, while giant mealworms and crickets were poured into his head compartment.
Despite answering two correct questions and successfully releasing both stars, Dean said the dreaded words: “I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!”
Speaking to Ant and Dec after the trial, Dean said: “It was my legs, I couldn’t move my legs. I’m sorry! I’m so sorry. It was the fact that I couldn’t move my legs. This is awful! Guys, this is awful!
“I’ve got to go back and tell them, this is awful. I just didn’t know that sand was going to fill it up. See, if there was no sand, I would still be in there. Great surprise! That is no joke! Oh, this is so embarrassing.”
