Country music singer Darryl Worley is breathing a sigh of relief now that his 16-year-old daughter, Savannah, is “awake” following surgery to repair a broken leg she sustained in a horrific car accident.
“It may be raining today but my sunshine is awake with a little smile on her face!! It’s been a rough few days but we know God is in control and shielded Savannah in all of this!!” Worley wrote on Instagram Nov. 19 alongside a photo of his daughter in a hospital bed.
Worley went on to express his gratitude that his daughter’s condition was “a lot better” following the surgery.
Worley revealed Nov. 17 that Savannah had been involved in a “bad wreck” in an emotional Instagram post asking for prayers.
The “I Miss My Friend” singer said Savannah sustained a “broken leg, bruises and lacerations” in the accident and was being flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.

Nov. 17: Worley revealed his daughter Savannah, 16, broke her leg in a ‘bad wreck’
On Nov. 17, Worley revealed on Instagram that his 16-year-old daughter, Savannah, had sustained a broken leg as well as bruises and lacerations in a “bad” car accident.
He explained that Savannah was being air lifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville.
The singer, who shares Savannah with his wife, Kimberly Perkins, said he was “flying back to Nashville from a show in New Mexico” to be with his daughter and wife.
He also “humbly” asked for prayers for his daughter and the driver of the other car involved in the crash, while adding photos of both damaged vehicles.
“Please pray for her and pray I can get home to be with my baby girl and Kimberly! Also pray for the lady in the other car! I don’t have any details on the accident but just ask you to pray!!” wrote Worley.
Nov. 18: The singer told fans Savannah was undergoing surgery to repair her leg
The following day, Worley announced that Savannah was undergoing surgery to repair her broken leg.
“Kimberly and I are anxiously waiting to hear how things are going from the doctor! It should be another couple of hours before I have an update after surgery!” he wrote in his Instagram story.
“Thank you so much for all the love and support! It means more than you will ever know! Please continue to pray for our baby girl,” he added.
Hours later, Worley revealed in another update that Savannah was “out of surgery and doing well.”
“She’s resting now! The doctor said everything went well!” he added.
