Outlander’s Sam Heughan lets slip season 7 part 2 spoiler with seven-word hint

favourite Sam Heughan has teased what fans can expect from season seven part two just days before release date. The television series has been missing for more than a year, however, the second part of its penultimate series is on the way.

Fans of the long-running Scottish drama have been patiently waiting for the show to make a comeback after the midseason cliffhanger saw Jamie Fraser, plyed by Sam Heughan, and Claire Fraser, portrayed by Caitriona Balfe, finally return to their precious homeland.

Both Sam and Caitriona appeared on ‘s The One Show on Tuesday (November 19) to chat to hosts Alex Jones and Anita Rani about what’s next for their beloved characters.

Sam said: “So cast your minds back to season seven part a. We finished that with Jamie and Claire returning back to Scotland. It’s Jamie’s ancestral home, delighted to be hear, and not just for the charatcers but for the fans as well.

“We’ve been anticiapting seeing this and going back to where Jamie was born and raised. There’s a lot of returning characters, a lot of charatcers fans love to hate that you’ll see and then there’s some big drama.”

“Jamie and Clare really face probably one of the biggest tests of their relationships for many seasons and the finale as well, which is probably one of my favourite finales. It’s really dramatic so there’s so much to look forward to in a couple of days.”

Outlander season seven was last seen in August 2023, ending with episode eight Turning Point. The show will be returning for the next batch of episodes on Friday (November 22) on MGM+ via Prime Video in the UK and Starz in the US.

As well as Sam and Caitriona returning as Jamie and Claire, Roger Rankin and Sophie Skelton are also to be back as Roger MacKenzie and Brianna Fraser.

They’ll be joined by John Bell as Young Ian, David Berry as Lord John Grey, Charles Vandervaart as William Ransom and Diarmaid Murtagh as Buck MacKenzie.

There will also be a number of familiar faces returning to the show as well. These include Lotte Verbeek as Geilis Duncan, Graham McTavish as Douglas MacKenzie, Nell Hudson as Laoghaire, Andrew Whipp as Brian Fraser and Steven Cree as Ian Murray.

However, Jamie’s sister Jenny, who was played by Laura Donnelly, will now be portrayed by actress Kristin Atherton.
