The presenter, 53, has co-hosted the property hunting show with Phil Spencer since it first kicked off in 2000. On Sunday (November 17), Kirstie headed to The BAFTA Scotland Awards as the show was nominated for the Features award.

They were up for the gong alongside Secrets of the Supermarket Own Brands and Extraordinary Escapes with Sandi Toksvig.

It was the former Bake Off star who scooped the award, leaving Kirstie wondering if fans no longer vote because they believe the Location, Location, Location team have walked home with plenty in previous years.

Taking to , Kirstie penned: “Very silly face at the end of brilliant evening @baftascotland with the @c4locationsofficial team, we were nominated which is a great honour, we didn’t win, we mostly don’t.

She continued: “I think after 25 years on @channel4 folk assume we must have won at some point and don’t need any more fuss.

“Now very cosy on @caledoniansleeper, the best way to head south, but I’ll be back in Scotland in a couple of weeks and I got to meet @mrandrewcotter tonight which is a really big deal.”

Kirstie’s followers flocked to the comments as they shared their commiserations over the loss, with one writing: “It’s a shame you didn’t win or never won, I watch every show you and Phil make you definitely work so well together and often make me laugh, you’re a win in my eyes.”

A second penned: “Sorry you didn’t win, but glad you still look gorgeous and you managed to get your bags. Sleep well and travel safe.”

Another added: “That’s looks pretty cool and congrats on your nomination but as you said after 25 years and still on the air and doing well is the biggest win of all. Love you and Phil. The best team.”

A fourth echoed: “I have actually watched you both for the past 25 years. I don’t think I’ve missed a show. Definitely my favourite programmes throughout that 25 years.

“I never get bored with you both and your sense of humour and cheekiness is wicked!!! I’m sorry you didn’t win, but to me you are both winners! The sleeper train looks great! What an experience.”
