Prince Harry is not happy about his “fall from grace” and is attempting to repair his public image — by putting some “space” between himself and wife Meghan Markle.
Harry has made several public appearances as of late without Meghan at his side.
Late last month, Harry was in New York City, where he appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
He also made trips to London and Lesotho without Meghan, and sources, who believe “solo Harry” is the Duke of Sussex’s idea, told the Mail that he “wanted it this way” and “wants space.”
The insider claimed, “This definitely feels like he is upping his game to cement his position as a serious player on the international stage.”
They continued: “He’s always been desperate to be taken seriously, and people I know say his fall from grace will really have got to him.”
Another source noted Meghan’s absence from Harry’s 40th birthday celebration last month and admitted they were surprised she didn’t go to Africa with her husband.

“There may be a good reason she can’t leave the kids, but she’s never been to Lesotho and that surprises me — it is like a second home [to Harry],” they said, adding that the “Royal Family there is like his second family.”
They explained: “Sentebale is such a big part of his life, you’d think he would want to share it.”
Meanwhile, the Duchess of Sussex made a surprise appearance of her own at the Children’s Hospital L.A. Gala over the weekend.
The former Suits star stood out in a low-cut red column dress with a high slit and red strappy heels.
Harry did not attend gala.
