Massive explosions have shaken Beirut again – with footage showing the blasts in the southern suburbs of the city of Sunday night.
The attacks came on the eve of October 7, the anniversary of Hamas’ terrorist attack on , in which some 1,200 were killed and hundreds more were taken hostage.
had put out fresh evacuation orders in southern Lebanon ahead of the strikes.
Hezbollah also targeted the Israeli port city of Haifa with rocket fire on Sunday evening, with Israeli media reporting that five people were injured in the attack.
Hebollah said in a statement that a military base had been targeted, though social media clips appeared to show damage to roads in civilian areas.

has claimed responsibility for the strikes in Beirut last night, and its military wrote in a post on X that fighter jets had struck Hezbollah’s intelligence HQ.
“In addition, warplanes have recently attacked the organisation’s munitions warehouses in the Beirut area,” the statement said, adding: “During the attacks, secondary explosions were seen, indicating the presence of weapons.
The IDF, claimed Hezbollah, which is designated as a terrorist organisation by countries inluding the US and the UK, “places its headquarters and means of warfare under residential buildings in the heart of the city of Beirut and endangers the population in the area”.
