Gardener shares gorgeous flower you should plant before the end of October
The more Daffodils planted the merrier to brighten up springtime. Spring is made official when we see the yellow trumpets swaying in the breeze.
We need to plant them in now so they establish themselves ready for flowering next spring.
We should dig holes about 15cm to 20cm deep to plant our Daffodil bulbs in.
We can dig single holes to plant a few bulbs in and long trenches to grow long rows, the choice is ours.
We need to plant the bulbs roots side down and tip facings upwards.

The bulbs can be planted in with 10cm spaces between them or as closer clumps, the bulbs are very hardy and versatile.
For the Daffodil to thrive the bulbs need free draining compost in pots and soil in the ground.
They will look their very best in part to full sun, so be sure to plant them in places where they will get direct sun in the months of March and April.
The bulbs can stay where they are planted as they will return year after year, in fact the bulbs will multiply so more and more will appear as the years pass.
