King Charles and Queen Camilla’s ‘bizarre’ hobby revealed

and  both have a bizarre hobby they enjoy, the Queen’s son has revealed.

, who shares a close relationship with his mum, 77, and the King, 75, has recently given royal fans an insight into his mum’s life in his new book, Cooking and the Crown: Royal Recipes from Queen Victoria to King Charles III.

In the book, food writer Tom shared how both Queen Camilla and the King enjoy foraging for mushrooms, and can become “deeply competitive about their hauls”.

He also said that wild mushrooms are “somewhat of an obsession” for both the monarch and his mother, with in 2022.

According to sources, Charles was at the bedside of the late Queen in Balmoral Castle on the day she died, however he also went to nearby Birkhall to gather mushrooms alone.

When he was returning from this is when he received a call telling him his mother had passed away.

While royal fans may only be finding out about the King’s hobby now, his interest in mushrooms goes back decades according to The Daily Mail, who said how he even went on a mushroom foraging trip alone in August 2011.

The Daily Mail said Camilla took a trip to Balmoral at this time and was seen picking mushrooms with a royal protection officer by her side.
