A 3.8-magnitude earthquake hit near Tsawwassen early Friday, a week after a slightly larger one rattled the coast near Vancouver Island.
Earthquakes Canada said there are no reports of damage, and none would be expected. It was lightly felt around Metro Vancouver and Victoria.
The quake happened shortly after 2 a.m. at a depth of 57 kilometres and was centred northwest of Tsawwassen, according to the agency.
The U.S. Geological Survey said that quake and was centred near Sidney and D’Arcy Islands, just east of the Saanich Peninsula and 11 kilometres from Sidney.
