was urged to finally hand a knighthood as most Brits would love to see the England footballing legend receive the honour, according to a new poll.
Speculation over whether the ex-footballer would receive the honour ever since the monarch ascended to the throne, however, he failed to make Charles’s birthday honours list, which was announced back in June.
Mr Beckham received an OBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours List in 2003 and has not received another title since.
But the ex-footballer has made , championing some of their causes and now fans think it’s time he was given the knight title.

A total of 6,299 people were polled from 9am on Thursday, October 3, to 9am on Friday, October 4, and the majority of them responded positively to the question.
Out of the total, nearly six in ten (3,723) voted in favour of Mr Beckham, while nearly four in ten (2,451) voted against.
Just 125 readers voted “I don’t know”.
It comes as Mr Beckham joined earlier in the week for a special visit in west London.
