Hoda Kotb, Jenna Bush Hager and Savannah Guthrie had quite the scare when they paid a visit to “Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares,” a spooky haunted maze that Fallon’s team spent a year building at the lower level of Rockefeller Center.
“I don’t like this,” Hoda and Jenna both said while entering the spooky building.
“I don’t want to go,” Jenna added while hanging onto Savannah’s arm for safety.
As the two continued walking and made their way into the elevator, the trio encountered Taylor, a ghoulish NBC page, who opened up the door and let them into the maze.
Jenna let out her first scream when a spooky character popped out of a corridor as she passed by. As the TODAY co-anchors made their way through the maze, they heard Fallon’s voice narrate characters from each of the 10 rooms that they went into.
“There’s a serial killer on the loose and they’ll kill anything that moves!” Fallon said as they entered the first room.
In a voice-over, Savannah explained that each of the rooms were based on Fallon’s nightmares.
“Jimmy needs some serious therapy,” Jenna quipped.
But, the maze, which typically takes around 10 minutes to clear, proved to be too much for Hoda, Savannah and Jenna as they all let out a scream when a woman wearing a bloody hockey mask approached them with a knife.
Things became ever worse when they saw someone change into a warewolf in front of their very eyes.
“Gross!” Hoda said while watching the transformation.
“That is disgusting,” Jenna added.
Just when they thought things were over, the ladies got their final scare when they posed for a picture next to a sign that said “I survived Jimmy’s Tonightmares.” As soon as their guard was down, Al Roker popped out of the sign and tried to scare his co-hosts.
“Oh my God,” Savannah said while catching her breath.
“Jimmy Fallon’s Tonightmares” was built by the same team that created “Halloween Horror Nights” at the Universal theme parks.
