Jake Paul and Mike Tyson are set to fight in November
YouTuber-turned-boxer has received a stark warning ahead of his highly anticipated clash with boxing icon and former world champion, , later this year. He has been told that if the fight was today then “Jake Paul would be done”.
The pair were originally set to face off in July, but Tyson had to withdraw due to an inflamed ulcer, halting his training on medical advice. However, the legendary boxer is back in training and confident he’ll be fight-ready for next month’s encounter.
The rescheduled mega-fight is now slated for Friday, November 15 at the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, potentially drawing a crowd of 90,000 spectators. Tyson last fought professionally in 2005, succumbing to Kevin McBride, and his most recent appearance was in a closed-door exhibition match against Roy Jones Jr in 2020.
Meanwhile, 27-year-old Paul secured a victory over ex-UFC combatant Mike Perry this past July.
Tyson’s camp has escalated the pre-fight banter, with a promotional video featuring a team member declaring: “We’re not looking to throw just one bomb. We want to throw missile after missile.”
A trainer from Tyson’s corner warned that Paul would find himself in deep trouble if the bout were to happen immediately, stating: “If the fight were today, Jake Paul would be done,” adding that Tyson doesn’t just launch single attacks but unleashes a relentless barrage.
Concerns over Tyson’s fitness have escalated after his recent admission: “It’s hard to walk right now. But two months from now I’m going to be perfect. The fight is won in the gym. Listen, I’ll do anything that will help me. I’m going to enjoy my time here tonight with all my childhood friends, and the hell with Jake Paul.”
On Jimmy Kimmel’s show, ‘Iron Mike’ disclosed his rigorous training regime, saying, “I am training extremely hard, I do six hours a day. I start at 11am and might leave the gym at 5pm,” A surprised Kimmel queried, “Oh no. 11am? So that’s six hours straight, or is there a lunch break? ” Tyson acknowledged a brief intermission, leaving Kimmel astonished as he exclaimed, “Oh no.”

Probing further, Kimmel asked: “Will you be high on marijuana, as well? ” to which Tyson admitted, “That’s a possibility, too.”
This revelation led Kimmel to jest: “Oh no my bet is getting lower as we talk.”
Tyson’s controversial claims of planning to smoke marijuana before his bout with ‘The Problem Child’ have raised questions about the seriousness of his intentions. Any such action could lead to severe consequences, as the Texas Commission prohibits such substances.
Should Tyson or any fighter test positive, the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) warns: “If either combatant were to test positive for a banned substance, we would open a complaint, put them on a 90-day suspension and if the combatant were the winner, the decision would be changed to a no-decision because of a rules violation.”
