Princess Kate wows as she steps out in ‘colour of the season’ but fans make one complaint

delighted royal fans after wearing  at Windsor Castle on Wednesday.

The Princess of Wales joined her husband, , as they both met Liz Hatton, 16, an aspiring photographer from Harrogate with a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Kate was pictured hugging Liz after the princess, who following her own cancer diagnosis, and William met the teenager and her family after the investiture ceremony earlier in the day.

The future Queen donned a maroon suit by Roland Mouret which consisted of a (£750) and a pair of (£450) with a nude top underneath.

She paired the look with Cassandra Goad’s (£2,780), a jewellery designer she’s favoured over the years.

Royal fans went wild over the princess’s style choice and praised her for wearing the “colour of the season” however, some of them were not impressed with the nude top she opted to wear underneath.

One user wrote on : “Nice to see her back to work. The suit is nice. LOVE the earrings. But the top under her jacket just doesn’t work.”

A second one agreed: “The top’s color (sic) is too close to her skin tone, it’s giving shape-wear.”

A third one added: “Happy to see Kate back. the colour of the top under the jacket is not the right choice in terms of chromatic rules. I’d be matched a(sic) high contrast such as off white silk. But still happy to see her back.”

A fourth one opined: “The top underneath is a no.”

But overall, fans were impressed, with one user writing: “Stunning and in the color (sic) of the season!”
