King Charles speaks with Grace Jones during the reception at St James’s Palace
King Charles and Queen Camilla are holding a glitzy reception at St James’s Palace with a star-studded guest list to celebrate the Commonwealth Diaspora. The event comes ahead of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa.
The King and Queen are being greeted by high-profile members of the Commonwealth Diaspora including actress Cate Blanchett, singer Grace Jones, dancer Motshegetsi Mabuse-Voznyuk, rugby player Theodore McFarland, soprano Isabella Moore and singer Neil Finn.
The reception in London of around 300 guests will recognise and celebrate the significant contribution made by the Commonwealth Diaspora in the UK and beyond.
King Charles and Queen Camilla, as well as other members of the Royal Family, including The Duchess of Edinburgh and The Duke of Kent, are meeting High
Commissioners and representatives from organisations associated with the Commonwealth, as well as supporters of The King’s Trust International and the British Asian Trust.
These two charities, which operate in the Commonwealth, were founded by the monarch when he was Prince of Wales.
