Linda Nolan bravely provides emotional update amid cancer fight

has shared another emotional health update, saying that she “can’t read clocks” and “is scared the cognitive part of her brain is going.”

In her latest column with the the singer admitted that she is finding it “frustrating” and that her sister Bernie experienced the same thing when she battled cancer.

Linda, 65, was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006. She has been battling secondary breast cancer since 2017 and in 2020 it was revealed that a third recurrence of cancer in her liver had occurred.

She also announced last year that a tumour had been found on the left side of her brain. She has since started immunotherapy treatment.

Earlier this year, she revealed that her . Her recent scans showed that two of the tumours in her brain have grown, while there has also been an increase of the smaller cancerous spots surrounding them

Speaking in her column, Linda penned: “Denise filled the house with clocks some time ago. Big, digital clocks with the date as well as the time. Along with my diary which she writes every little thing in, it’s the only way I can keep track of things.

“Now though, even the clocks are deserting me. It’s frustrating but also frightening. Clearly it’s the cognitive part of my brain going. It’s what happened to Bernie.

“I think one of the saddest parts about it is how it makes me think of Mum, too. She struggled with clocks when she developed Alzheimer’s after Dad died. I didn’t realise then how she must have felt.”

Linda isn’t the only Nolan sister to have been affected by cancer. Bernie Nolan tragically died in 2013 at the age of 52 from breast cancer, whilst other sister Anne has been given the all-clear after being diagnosed three years ago.

Coleen Nolan revealed last year that she had been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer and said that the disease was spotted by chance.

Thankfully, her as it was “nothing” compared to what her sister Linda has been going through.
