Motoring fans were left heartbroken last month (September 13) when ’s The Grand Tour halted after six seasons on air. The closing episode, , saw the trio embarking on a final road trip together, marking the end of their 21-year-long professional relationship.

Weeks on from the two-hour farewell, Jeremy, 64, revealed the next book in his Diddly Squat series is set to drop later in October. Taking to to share an exclusive excerpt, the British broadcaster said to his 8.7 million followers: “I’ve done a thing! It’s a copy of my new book and I thought it would be a good idea to read you an excerpt from it.”

“Give you a flavour of what you can expect,” the father-of-three said before reading a line from the 244-page offering. “But what if you want some bread,” Jeremy recited before closing the book again.

“So there you go, Diddly Squat: Home To Roost, out on October 24 but you can pre-order it now.” After viewing the former host’s latest promotional post, fans have come out in their droves to debate the reading.

“Why did you read from the book? You spoiled it, and now I know everything about it,” joked one user.

A second typed: “The level of genius involved with this book,” while another commented: “How do you grow books?”

A fourth said: “I can’t cope with all of that information Jeremy.”

“I do want some bread, what a coincidence. I’ll have to buy the book now,” penned someone else.

Home to Roost is the fourth book in Jeremy’s Diddly Squat series and serves as another companion to his beloved Prime Video series, .

It follows 2021’s A Year on the Farm, 2022’s ‘Til The Cows Come Home and 2023’s Pigs Might Fly.

In August, the motoring journalist dropped a hint regarding whether or not Clarkson’s Farm

It’s understood series four filming has already been taking place following the third series of the reality farming show landing on streaming this summer.
