King Charles announces rare tour inside Balmoral – but tickets cost eye-watering amount

Want to dine like royalty? Now you can because is giving people, for the first time, the chance to eat and explore the grounds at Balmoral Castle in Scotland.

The estate, in Aberdeen, is where the Queen died in 2022 and where King Charles and Camilla enjoy spending their holidays.

And now the public will get the chance to check the estate out for themselves, indulging in a seven-course meal inspired by the seven rooms guests will visit on a tour of the castle. The meal will also be paired with wines and live music.

The “specially-curated” dishes will be part of the first dining experience available at Balmoral which was previously open in the summer, but without the option to eat dinner.

The estate called it an “intimate and unique experience”. It said: “Join us for a special ‘Evening at Balmoral’ this .

“On arrival you will be greeted by a traditional piper before experiencing an exclusive Castle Interior Tour.

“Following the tour you can then enjoy a specially curated seven course fine dining experience, inspired by the seven rooms you visit on the Castle Interior Tour.

“The meal will be complimented with paired wines and live music, served in our recently redesigned restaurant, creating a truly memorable experience.”

While it is a tempting offer to eat a lavish meal, paired with great wines and bask in the ambience of live music, there are of course cheaper alternatives to get an inside experience.
