expert Theo Burrell is set to undergo additional treatment as scans reveal her cancer has tragically begun to regrow.
At the tender age of 35, Theo, now 38, She has recently expressed her immense gratitude for the past two years and declared her determination to “take on the next step of my journey with everything I’ve got”.
The mother-of-one was given the that she had a glioblastoma in June 2022. This diagnosis followed six months of severe migraine attacks, which were so intense that she was unable to bend over or lie down.
This disease is recognised as the most aggressive and prevalent type of cancer originating in the brain.
In a recent statement, she confirmed: “It’s with some heartbreak that I can confirm my glioblastoma has started regrowing. Although this was always an inevitability it has been a difficult couple of weeks for me and my family, as we deal with the news and await a treatment plan.”, reports .

She added: “I am extremely grateful for having had such a good quality of life over the last two years, and I intend to take on the next step of my journey with everything I’ve got.”
Following her initial diagnosis, Ms Burrell chose to undergo surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy. Medical professionals informed her that without treatment, she would only have three months to live.
Ms Burrell’s passionate involvement with Brain Tumour Research began in November 2023, when she became a patron. Earlier this year saw her join forces with campaigners in a pivotal trip to Downing Street, delivering a compelling petition signed by over 80,000 supporters, pressing for greater funding and advances in brain cancer research.

She openly embraced the announcement in April about the inception of a new research facility for brain tumours in Scotlanda cooperative venture between Brain Tumour Research and the Beatson Cancer Charity that promises to propel efforts towards finding a cure. Reflecting on her journey, she shared at the time that she continues to “make the best of each day”.
